Whew, that’s the 101….
Well, there are all of the goals on my list in detail. Took me quite a while but I wish completing each task was as easy as just writing about them! I’ll update each post as I work towards achieving that specific goal. Wish me luck… x
Goal #101: Buy a homeless person a meal
Why? It’s a nice thing to do
How? I’m not sure…
When? By the end of the 1001 days
I would absolutely love to do this but I’m very apprehensive. I don’t know how to choose who to buy the meal for and how I should go about it. I think I’ll try and find some information/advice from others who have done it.

Goal #100: Go to see an opera
Why? I like operatic music but I’ve never been to an opera
How? Decide which one I want to see, save up & buy a ticket
When? By the end of the 1001 days
I really don’t know much about opera but I like a lot of the arias I’ve heard and I feel that, as a musical theatre nerd, an opera is something I MUST experience. I haven’t decided which one I’d like to see or where I’d like to go. I’m also a bit worried about ticket prices. The part I’m looking forward to is dressing up though. People always look fancy when they go to the opera :D

Goal #99: Take a photo of a place through all four seasons
Why? I’d like to have them all in a frame together
How? Choose a nice place and take a pic of it once a season for a year
When? Winter ‘10-Autumn ‘11
I would never have thought of doing this before I saw it on the Day Zero site but now I can’t get the idea out of my mind! I really want one of those 4-in-1 frames with a picture of each season that I’ve taken myself. The difficult part is choosing somewhere scenic that will show major changes between the seasons…

Goal #98: Listen to Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time
Why? To expand my musical knowledge & tastes
How? Listen in chunks
When? By the end of 2011
I’ve never heard a lot of the songs on this list and definitely want to. I’m hoping I’ll discover some hidden gems and perhaps rediscover songs I used to love. Even if I end up hating most of the tracks at least I’ll have broadened my musical horizons!

Goal #97: Make a wish at 11:11 on November 11, 2011
Why? Sounds like fun
How? Keep an eye on the time and make a secret wish
When? Pretty obvious
There are only two occasions left in this century where the date will consist of three identical numbers and I feel I should mark at least one of these. So, I’ll do my two minutes silence at 11am and nine minutes later I will send a wish to the fairies ;)

Goal #96: Take one picture every day for a month
Why? A good way of documenting a month of my life and developing my photography skills
How? Choose an interesting month & try to remember to take at least one pic a day
When? By the end of the 1001 days
Hopefully at some point during the 1001 days I’ll have a really interesting month and be able to take pictures of things I’ll want to remember. I have no idea when this will be so am waiting to see what happens for now. I don’t know if these pictures will be of me, others, scenery or something else….probably a mixture of everything.

Goal #95: Read all of Jane Austen’s novels
Why? I feel like I should
How? Read, read, read
When? By the end of the 1001 days
This is definitely something I feel I should do as a Literature student rather than a deep-seated desire within me. I do enjoy Austen’s style of writing though and I don’t know much about some of her novels but want to. I started ‘Pride & Prejudice’ as part of my degree but managed to complete the assignment without reading the whole book so I can’t even cross that one off my list!

Goal #94: Start a band
Why? It’s a life-long ambition
How? Find some musicians/vocalists and persuade them to form a group of some kind
When? By the end of the 1001 days
I’ve always known I’d love to be in a band but the set-up of it & the genre I want to be involved in has never been set. I’d quite like to be a singer in an Indie Rock band but I also really want to be part of a girlband. I have no idea where/how I am going to find other members of my band so if you know anyone who would fit into either of the above set-ups, point them my way!

Goal #93: Kiss someone under the mistletoe
Why? Tradition/romance
How? Buy mistletoe and grab my hubby
When? Christmas 2010
We used to have mistletoe in the house every Christmas when I was growing up and, although I kissed my family under it, I always wanted to have a proper smooch under it with my partner when I was grown up. Now I’m married and in my own flat and want some mistletoe to kiss my husband under.
